Cuba League Website Features Industriales Blue Lions
In addition to our continued efforts at www.BaseballdeCuba.com to present the best of Cuban League baseball, fans now have an added resource in the newly launched site devoted to Havana’s popular Industriales Blue Lions, Cuba’s most successful champion with eleven league titles since 1963. Check out the colorful and exciting new webpage found at www.industrialesdecuba.com.
In addition to complete Spanish-language team coverage and live radio and television game broadcasts during the current National Series post-season finals, this special site carries my own weekly English-language columns and Cuban League analysis.
The site, founded and maintained by former Havana Radio COCO baseball reporter Eloy Alvarez, promises numerous additional features on Cuba’s most popular league team.
Cuban League Post-Season Playoffs Now in Full Swing
Those who still think that “March Madness” has something to do with high-salaried collegiate athletes wearing short pants and tossing oversized balls through elevated steel hoops obviously still haven’t discovered the most exciting venue that the sport of bats and balls has to offer. Forget October’s badly misnamed professional “World Series”. In what sense, after all, does an autumn playoff series between mercenary-filled corporate teams involve anything that might be called “the World”? For me, true playoff baseball is always about the month of March.
Catch all the analysis and action of the Cuban League post-season on www.BaseballdeCuba.com. Games can even be watched live, direct from Cuban television. Check it out.
